Was downtown again yesterday with the second half of our homeschool group. Students asked lovely questions and one wondered if the name Boston came from “Town of the Bosses”. I of course taught them all about St. Botolph (and how to say his name with the emphasis on the second syllable).

Great time to tour Boston with weather a bit cooler than the rest of the country. Book your tour now!

Happy to be downtown Boston again today with my favorite Home School group, Classical Conversations. We discussed my favorite 17th century Puritan, Rev. John Eliot. Doing it again next Monday morning in case any others care to join us!

Met some new friends downtown right after our Patriot’s Day and Marathon Monday here in Boston. One of my guests was even a runner in the Boston Marathon! Would love to meet others coming to our great city to describe the story of faith and freedom in this land of the free and home of the brave. Give me a call or text at 315-975-2758, and book your tour today!

Had my first ever winter tour downtown with some hearty souls who originally hail from Ethiopia and Eritrea. One plans to pursue monasticism in Texas, so it explains a bit why he is so hearty as to have a walking tour in frigid January.

Anyway, Happy New Year from Boston Pilgrim Tours!

So pleased to remember at the end of this month the conclusion of my own parents’ celebration of 50 years of marriage. As part of this year-long celebration, I took them on our Faith-based Freedom Trail tour last fall (see pictures below). Many years to them and to all parents who are embedding faith in the next generation of citizens for this great Land of the Free!

Only two years ago today did we begin this effort that has become (to my knowledge) Boston’s ONLY faith-based tour company. And now two years later, we are still offering the kinds of tours that people of faith look for when they come to a historic city like our fair Boston. So book a tour today! You won’t be sorry that you did.

And watch this summer for the unveiling of our new living history tour. Last summer, John Eliot in the seventeenth century. This summer… someone from the eighteenth century who was famous for preaching on the Boston Common long before Billy Graham ever thought of it. Who could it be?

Interesting how the tour guide season follows the same season as baseball. Just as the World Series concludes, and the off season begins, so too,  the tour guiding season for 2013 goes into winter hibernation.

Thanks to all of my friends and colleagues who helped us launch the first official season for Boston Pilgrim Tours. Please pray for us, as we study and plan to return in the spring with even more faith-based offerings for our dear city of Boston.
